A Defamation Injunction is a court order that stops or limits the publication or spread of false and harmful statements that damage a person’s reputation. It can stop material before it goes live through a pre publication injunction, or it can stop further sharing after the content has already appeared online or in print through a post publication or interim injunction.

When the court grants a defamation injunction, it stops anyone from repeating or spreading the defamatory material. This gives the person under attack time and protection while the legal case moves forward.
